Emily Irene VanCamp (Canadian actress) is most well-known for her lead roles in countless television series, however, she also has impressive roles in films. The actress is well-known on Canadian as well as American TV. When Emily was 12 she became fascinated by acting after she visited her older sister Katie on the set of one of her movies. When she discovered that acting was a love, she began to take acting lessons and auditions. She started out with a couple of ads, and was soon selected for Are You Afraid Of The Dark the Canadian horror film for children. The only scene that she had was one with no sound. At the age of fifteen, Emily made her biggest breakthrough when she was made an official character on the WB Television series Glory Days. Although the show was canceled after nine episodes Emily's performance caught the eye of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who cast her in his television show Everwood. Emily was a professional dancer, and began to take up photography as well. Teen listed her as one top actress under 20. Maxim ranked her 51st in its Hot 100 of 2014.
