Laura Linney has been hailed as one of the most well-known actors. Her fame is for playing strong characters but as fragile. She was raised by an unmarried mother, who worked as a nurse. Her interest in the theatre during holidays with her famous father. She studied acting at Brown University, and later at Juilliard School. Within a mere two years after graduation, she launched her Broadway-based career. In the following year, she made her first appearance in TV and film. In the years since, she's been appearing in a variety of films, TV productions and stage shows. She received many accolades over the course of her career which included several Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. She has been nominated for five Tony Awards as well as three Academy Awards nominations. However, despite her recognitions and awards, theatre is still her passion and she'll continue to play on the stage and on screen.
