Katherine Heigl reveals the ways that growing up as a child within a "white bubble" affected the way she parented her adopted family of multiracial origins. In an interview, she said in the past that with regards to skin colour there is no difference. But after speaking to her adopted sister from South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats people of different races. "I asked Meg how she was that she was treated differently when going out with our parents and when she went out by herself. She replied: 'Oh yeah, all the times! Heigl spoke to Parents about when she realized her naivet . According to the actor, she grew angered. She wanted to channel her anger into aiding her adopted daughters. Heigl has a son of 4 year with Josh Kelley, her husband for the past 13 years. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide eight and Black, in 2012.
