Jenna Fischer has become best recognized for her role as Pam Beesly, the character she played in The Office. For this role, Jenna received two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy as well as an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Jenna was raised within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna's mom Anne used to perform in church plays when she was younger which sparked an interest in theater.
She's a trained actress who returned to the stage after The Office. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons for Being Happy. In the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere, she starred alongside Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
In the month of October, Fischer and The Office co-star and best friend in real life Angela Kinsey launched an online podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to been a huge success, landing on the Top Ten globally every week and registering more than 200 million downloads over its initial two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
The Actor's Life is her first book, which chronicles the road she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood, where she became an actor professionally. Her next book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography about her closest friend, and her experience in The Office.
